Thank you to Nesha Williams from The University of Oklahoma, and Clara Luper, Department of African and African American Studies, for coming to WMS and celebrating Black History. The Afrobeatz Dance team from the university also performed. A student from South Africa read a poem that spotlighted what being African American meant to her. Guest soeakers spoke to the students about the use of dance in daily life. The middle school students were invited to the floor to join the dance team on a journey of unity through music and dance. The leadership students also gave a brief history of the life of Clara and her significance in Oklahoma and America History.
