Some WES students have been learning about contractions this week. Recently the students worked as word surgeons to perform a “contraction-ectomy” by identifying the contraction, removing the extra letters, and completing the word with a bandaid (apostrophe)
The student surgeons pretended to be in a hospital setting, complete with masks, gloves, and a screen showing a heart monitor graph and sound.
