We are so glad you're here! Get ready for a fun and exciting year full of new adventures. Your student is about to begin an amazing journey—learning how to balance new responsibilities with new freedoms, all while staying engaged, supported, and growing every step of the way.

At Washington Public Schools, communication with our families is a top priority. Here are some of the platforms we use to keep you informed and make your school year run smoothly:

Once school begins, we use ParentSquare to communicate with families. This platform allows teachers and staff to:

• Share class updates and reminders
• Post district-wide announcements
• Send report cards digitally
• Message directly with teachers and administrators

✅ Download the ParentSquare app and register using the same email you used for enrollment.

🚫 Do not merge accounts with your spouse or child—each person needs their own account to receive messages correctly.

• If you're not seeing all of your children listed in your ParentSquare account:
  • Log out and log back in
  • Confirm all children under your account settings
• If you have children in more than one building (elementary, middle school, high school):
  • You will need to toggle between sites to view posts from each building
  • Note: ParentSquare does not currently merge all buildings into one feed. We have submitted a request to improve this feature.
• If you're a WPS staff member with children in the district:
  • ParentSquare has now separated your staff and parent accounts
  • Good news! You can merge them:
    • Tap the “pancake stack” (☰) on the top left of your app
    • Go to My Account
    • Follow the prompts to confirm and merge accounts
