    Oklahoma State Requirements

    ​All applicants must have a High School Diploma/GED and pass a background check.

     

    ​Level 1 (General Ed / Title I)

    ​You must meet one of the following:

    ​48 college credits (approx. 2 years of college).

    ​An Associate’s Degree or higher.

    ​A passing score on an approved state test (like ParaPathways, WorkKeys, or OGET).

     

    Level 2 (Special Education)

    ​You must meet all Level 1 requirements, plus:

    ​Complete the Oklahoma State Dept. of Education Special Education training (can be completed within 120 days of hire).

    ​Hold a current CPR / First Aid certification.

    Requirements:
    • Valid Oklahoma Class B CDL License
    • Passenger Endorsement Required
    • Must pass a drug screening
    • Must pass a background check
    • Must meet all state and district requirements for school transportation personnel

    At Washington Public Schools, our bus drivers do much more than transport students. They are often the first representative of our school that students see each morning and the last person they see each afternoon. Bus drivers play a vital role in creating a safe, welcoming, and positive start and end to every student's day.
