Oklahoma State Requirements
All applicants must have a High School Diploma/GED and pass a background check.
Level 1 (General Ed / Title I)
You must meet one of the following:
48 college credits (approx. 2 years of college).
An Associate’s Degree or higher.
A passing score on an approved state test (like ParaPathways, WorkKeys, or OGET).
Level 2 (Special Education)
You must meet all Level 1 requirements, plus:
Complete the Oklahoma State Dept. of Education Special Education training (can be completed within 120 days of hire).
Hold a current CPR / First Aid certification.
