8th graders recently completed reading the classic novel, The Outsiders. A project was assigned, and the classroom was turned into a mock drive-in movie. Students were then grouped up as Greasers and Socs and went around to each “movie” station, then read the description and discussed and filled out a film review on how each separate group would have responded as a character from the Outsiders book.
Several students went the extra mile and dressed up as Socs and Greasers.
